Initial impression was very disappointing, the lack of garden space (as shown on the cottages.com website) was no more. Instead we were faced with a wood chip barrier across a very small patio which needed cleaning. We should have been informed that there was an issue with the garden, we had lovely weather but we’re unable to use the garden as advertised. We didn’t find the bed/pillows comfortable.For those with mobility issues, it should be mentioned that the key lock is very low down and the bath is quite a step up to get in for bath/shower.All that said, the house is in a lovely position and has a lovely kitchen.

Beautiful house in a great location in Winchester, just behind the cathedral. It is only a 4 star review because the garden was blocked off and not able to be used - this was not communicated to us prior to arrival. There was however, good communication about location and parking. Parking permit allows you to park on the four surrounding streets and we always managed to find a space on an evening when we returned - Culver Road and Romans Road we found to be the easiest to find a space on. As others have said, the stairs up to the twin bedroom are steep for young children or people with mobility issues but the room is spacious when up there.

This would have been straight 5s, but the advertised garden was off limits when we attended. It appeared to be due to factors outside their control, but we had no prior notice that this would be the case.
