It’s a great base for those who want to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside while still being within easy reach of beaches, attractions, and shops. Just 1 mile away lies the ancient town of Brading, home to traditional pubs, a fascinating Roman villa, and the delightful Lilliput Doll and Toy Museum. Wine lovers will be in their element on a tour of Adgestone Vineyard, one of the oldest in the UK, only half a mile away. If you fancy a trip to the coast, you’re spoilt for beaches in this part of the world. Sandown Beach (3 miles) promises classic seaside fun with swimming, crazy golf, and amusement arcades, while Appley Beach (6 miles) offers a vast expanse of golden sand and gentle strolls along the promenade.

Before heading inside the contemporary lodge, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding fields that stretch towards the coast. It’s enough to melt your stresses away as soon as you arrive. Once indoors, you’ll be welcomed by a sleek, bright kitchen equipped with all the essentials you need to rustle up quick meals during your stay. Beyond this, the cosy lounge offers wonderful views across the countryside, creating a calming space to unwind. Light the wood burner on chillier evenings, sink into the sofa, and stream a movie on the Smart TV. Continuing through the property, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms to retreat to after days spent exploring the island. One is a king-size room, while the second has twin beds that can be made up as a king-size if preferred. Both bedrooms have their own TV and share a contemporary shower room.

The enclosed garden surrounding the lodge is a lovely spot for dining or simply breathing in the fresh air, with plenty of space to soak up the peaceful country setting. A nearby chicken enclosure adds to the rural charm of the place, and you’re welcome to get to know your feathered neighbours during your stay. Private parking for two cars is provided 100 metres away from the lodge.
