Nearby you’ll find a choice of vintage resorts like Ventnor and Sandown, countless wildlife parks and many more local attractions to fill your days. The parks neighbours Shanklin is renowned for its expansive beach, sweeping esplanade, Shanklin Chine and family friendly amusements: everything you want in a seaside holiday.
On park, you’ll find plenty of outdoor activities and brilliant facilities including an adventure playground and our fun-filled swimming pools to keep everyone entertained. Plus, at Lower Hyde, you get double the fun as you also have full access to the facilities at our sister park Landguard, meaning there’s plenty to do on park.
Due to gradients and steps Lower Hyde is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.
Please note, the outdoor pool is open between 24/05/19 - 02/09/19 although is weather dependant

I booked i thought a caravan that berthed up to 6, but one of the bedrooms was tiny, with 2 very small beds, although the caravan was ok, it could have done with a table and chairs on the decking, and had only 1 toilet roll there. It was clean enough, and the shower worked ok. It might have been ok for 2 adults and 2 small children, but certainly not big enough for 5 adults. I didn't use the entertainments so can't comment on that. But if you book for any more than 2 adults, i recommend you book a larger caravan.

We had a surf accommodation which I chose as we have a young family. However we found it extremely small and certainly would accommodate comfortably 6 adults as advertised. The fact we could have a cot for our baby we assumed there would be room for it. But no. I didnt fit anywhere apart from the living space. Which meant my baby had to sleep. In the double with me and my hustand had to sleep. On the sofa or we wouldn't have had any time to ourselves in the evening. The location of our caravan was awful it felt like we were all packed in with barely an space around our caravan. Not to mention we were put with small children right next to the main road. This menacing we had constant noise and disruption. One evening we had a a group of people try our door and bang on the wall of our caravan laughing. Which scared my kids! Another morning a lady was walkin her dog aroun our caravan for it to do it business meters from our door. There was no where to put anything or hang up wet coats and soggy shoes on yhe days it rained, there were ants all over the cooking area. We actually felt it very depressing. We love the IOW and tried to keep our of the caravan to avaoif these issues. We are not ones to complain but it wasn't a suitable setting for our small family. But I guess you get what you pay for. On the plus side the swimming pool was great if not a little dirty and the entertainment and activities were amazing. All the staff and security we met were great!
