Further afield, discover Cowes and immerse yourself in the history of Max Aitken Museum, or you can hop aboard a ferry to Southampton for a day out you won't forget. All of this and more awaits at The Workshop.

At the southernmost point of the island, the small Victorian beach town of Ventnor is reachable through several windings, hilly roads that are surrounded by stunning landscape. This picturesque hamlet, which is protected by St. Boniface Down, one of the island's highest points and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has a very warm microclimate that encourages the growth of exotic and tropical flora all over the area. While the harbour provides a wide variety of fresh fish and locally-caught seafood, the gently sloping sandy and fine shingle beaches and coves give good facilities for watersports and offer a variety of breathtaking coastal routes to explore. With a superb selection of fine dining establishments, Ventnor is one of the most prestigious foodie destinations on the Isle of Wight.Bistros, pubs and shops along the esplanade and close to the town centre. The Botanical Gardens are within easy reach and well worth a visit, whilst around the island there are great walking and cycling opportunities, medieval castles, historic houses and a variety of gardens and waterfalls, as well as the unspoilt fishing bay. Extremely well supplied with all necessary facilities. Outside space looked good, but the weather was against us enjoying it.

It wasn’t made clear regarding the property parking, it simply said parking nearby, which didn’t mean a lot when it’s the first visit to the Isle Of Wight, plus no mention of how terribly steep it was when walking out of the gate to the town to collect the car each day as we had to purchase a 7 day tourist permit which cost £67 on the Council Car Park in middle of town. We had our Uncle with us for his 85th Birthday who is registered blind and very unsteady on his leg’s which made it stressful for us due to the steepness. It was a very stressful arrival after a long journey and start to the holiday. If I’d have known I wouldn’t have booked. Apart from that we couldn’t fault the property at all.
