Ancient woodlands and fields surround Lyminge. In the vicinity, there is a diverse range of vegetation, animals, and wildlife, including badgers, different types of deer, and wild boar that are suspected to have escaped from farmed populations. It is a bustling community with many small businesses, a pub that serves fantastic food and frequently holds events, a coffee shop, a hair salon, and a library. Being the oldest structure in the community, the parish church is well worth a visit. It has a long and interesting history and has been standing since 633 AD. In recent years, Lyminge has been the subject of numerous archaeological excavations, during which jewellery, weaponry, and glassware have all been found.
