Guests say

Cranbrook Lodge in Canterbury is praised for its peaceful setting, spacious and well-equipped accommodation, and convenient location for exploring Kent. Guests appreciate the modern appliances, comfortable beds, and quiet atmosphere. While most found the lodge clean and inviting, a few noted occasional cleaning oversights and minor maintenance issues. The property is ideal for a relaxing break, with thoughtful touches such as welcome trays mentioned by some guests, though these are not guaranteed. Overall, it offers a comfortable and enjoyable stay, making it a popular choice for repeat visitors.

Most guests found the lodge clean and well-presented, though a few reported issues such as cobwebs, mould in showers, and occasional missed cleaning in areas like the oven. These concerns appear to be exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity and proximity to Canterbury and the Kent coast. Guests found it central for exploring the region, though some noted the need for a car due to its rural setting.

Guests frequently commented on the comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the lodge. Some found the sofa and armchairs less comfortable, but overall, the accommodation was described as relaxing and inviting.

The lodge is well-equipped with modern appliances, kitchenware, and thoughtful amenities. Minor maintenance issues were occasionally mentioned, such as patio doors and worn furniture, but these did not detract significantly from the overall experience.

Some guests appreciated welcome trays with tea, coffee, and milk sachets, as well as local recommendation books. However, these thoughtful touches are not guaranteed for every stay.

The lodge was roomy, very clean and comfortable. Although close to other lodges, we didn't feel overlooked and there was a pleasant view from the lounge. Mostly well equipped, but only 3 hangers in total in the wardrobes!
