Edenbridge Lodge in Canterbury offers a tranquil park setting ideal for exploring Kent. Guests appreciate the well-equipped lodges, ample parking, and the peaceful environment. While some concerns about cleanliness and maintenance were noted, the overall experience is enjoyable with many guests looking forward to returning.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Some guests found the lodge clean and tidy, while others noted issues with cleanliness, including kitchen cupboard fronts with residue, a rusty toilet roll holder, and a pubic hair in a dish. These inconsistencies lead to an average score.
The location is praised for its quiet and tranquil park setting, perfect for relaxation and walks. However, the necessity to drive to local amenities, as there is nothing within walking distance, slightly affects the score.
Guests find the lodges comfortable, with good outside space and a spacious layout, particularly in the one-bedroom Edenbridge. Some minor issues with squeaky beds and dated bathrooms were mentioned but did not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
Facilities are well-received with essentials provided, but there are comments about the lack of modern amenities like a contemporary shower and the need for more cutlery. An out-of-order electric vehicle charger and outdated local info file suggest room for improvement.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Contemporary, well equipped open-plan living/kitchen area with patio doors leading to spacious outdoor decking. Perfect for a peaceful break away with that special someone. Clean, good sized lodge. Perfectly placed for exploring Kent - but be aware that you need to drive everywhere. There is no village, pub or restaurant within walking distance.Other comments reflect those of previous guests, so it is a shame that these have not been addressed. More crockery/cutlery is needed. There aren't enough to warrant using the dishwasher. We had 2 wine glasses - one very small, one very large - which caused arguments! The 'local info' file is very out of date. The QR code on the wall gives very little info.We have stayed on several similar sites previously (booked via Hoseasons) and usually the staff are very welcoming. Here, however, we were greeted by a very surly man. I said we were there to check in. His only question was 'Have you been here before?' I replied no, expecting this to lead to a conversation, but we were then simply given our key and pointed in the direction of our lodge!A few more customer service skills required! All in all we had an excellent week exploring Kent
