Elm - UK11991 is a well-received cottage offering a comfortable and clean stay, ideal for couples and dog owners. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to North Kent's attractions and nature, with a secure field for dogs. The hosts are praised for their friendliness and unobtrusiveness, contributing to a relaxing experience.
The property is generally described as clean and comfortable. One guest mentioned an issue with a damp mop and shower door seal, but this seems to be an isolated incident rather than a common concern.
The location is highly praised for being calm and conveniently situated near main roads, making it ideal for exploring Canterbury and the coast. The presence of wildlife and nature adds to the appeal.
Comfort is well-regarded, with a particularly comfortable bed noted by one guest. However, another guest found the mattress too soft, and the pitched ceiling in the bedroom was a minor inconvenience for some.
While the reviews mention well-equipped facilities and a good shower, there is not enough detailed information on the overall maintenance of the property to provide a comprehensive score.
Guests have mentioned a welcome pack and a gift of eggs, indicating the hosts' thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this score reflects the positive mentions without setting an expectation.

Fabulous place just for two and your dog. Clean and comfy with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on while on holiday. Everything supplied for a perfect stay. Ideally situated to explore all the gems of North Kent, and although near a main road still has the feel of being close to nature with foxes and rabbits visiting the vast field right there for you and your pooch to enjoy! Our cockapoo was in his glory exploring the scents. Comfy sofa with a pullout to rest your legs while watching a TV that actually works immediately you switch it on which is another first! Super unobtrusive hosts with a small holding at the back of the property where you can spot their horses, dogs, ducks and chickens wandering around their garden from the bedroom - a delightful sight! Highly recommend as a base for exploring the delights of "The Garden of England" and a great place to come back to relax and listen to the bird song

Overall the cottage was very nice; unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable the mattress was too soft. Only one toilet roll available and four dishwasher tablets. I had taken additional tea towels and dish cloths with me. I purchased cleaning materials for everyday use. The shower was very good but the seal on the bottom of the shower door needed removing and cleaning. The mop had been put into the cupboard damp therefore the smell was unpleasant, I soaked in disinfectant and dried outside which solved the problem. These are all minor issue but on vacation I really do not want the hassle. The bedroom ceiling is pitched and painted all the same colour so you did hit your head occasionally. Could benefit from being painted 2 different colours. In spit of these minor issues We had a very nice break lots of lovely places to visit.
