Hidden away in the Kent countryside, this lovely rural cottage offers couples a quiet and tranquil break from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. Very welcoming, this Lenham Heath cottage exudes warmth and character with exposed timbers, stripped floorboards, and a feature stone wall in the sitting room. There is also a double bedroom, a bathroom, kitchen with dining area, and sitting room with a woodburner-style electric stove and French doors leading outside. The patio area offers the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind with a cool drink after a day exploring the many historic towns and villages dotted across this part of Kent, or maybe to plan the day ahead over morning coffee.
The numerous bridleways and footpaths that crisscross the fields and meadows are right near by this Lenham Heath cottage, making a walk into this quaint market town a must during your stay. Owners Sally & Craig had put their farm up for sale and stopped taking bookings last winter. I didn't find this out till part way through my holiday so was delighted I was allowed to stay. They were lovely and Bartolo and I had a splendid time enhanced by splendid weather.

The owners welcomed us but not intrusive. There were very nice welcoming touches like milk, cake and jam on arrival- all received well. Thank you. There's even some teabags, coffee and sugar as emergency supplies if you happen to forget to get them straight away. There's washing up liquid, new cloth/sponge and handwash which were all very handy. I bring my own supplies as they're not of course all guaranteed supplied. So it was a home from home, they've even have a torch for in case. Though maybe it could update listing like hairdryer was available so I didn't need to bring mine. Comfortable bed and not too soft for my liking. I don't like soft beds where I sink when I lie or sit on it. The patio was all enclosed however, it was a separate area with no direct access from the cottage. Not a big problem really, just not expecting it to be that way. Wifi was good and not been a issue at all. Was able to even watch some films at night. Some nice walk around the area. There's leaflets and maps for places to see. Maybe, the listing can highlight some dog friendly places and pubs. Enjoyed Life of Kent Museum if you have dogs, great day out and also, Margate. Brill little cottage.
