Rose Cottage is thought to date from the 16th Century. It is situated on the hillside at the end of a row, offering glimpses of the sea from the front sitting out area. A woodburner makes this holiday cottage an ideal getaway for all seasons. Stroll down the hill into the Cinque Port of Hythe with its shops, restaurants and beach. Take a walk or cycle along the tow path of The Royal Military Canal. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Hythe is a great town, and (apart from a small hill) the location of this cottage is very good. However, it was grubby at best, and some things (electric fan in bathroom, washing machine) barely function, with other things (bed, sofa) being worn and uncomfortable. A shame, as with a few improvements, I'd stay again.

This is our fourth stay at Rose Cottage which makes a great base for exploring Hythe and surrounding areas. It’s always clean and tidy on arrival and the owner is a great host. Nice to have the off road parking. Recommended to couples and very doggy friendly. Not a problem for us, but note stairs are steep (it’s an old house), bath no shower and quite a steep hill up from Hythe town & beach. We love staying here and there is so much to do locally, easy to eat out or two good supermarkets to buy supplies. We hope to return for the fifth time!
