Woodsell Farm is a splendid holiday location with extraordinary surroundings. It is a little bit tricky to reach with a big car like ours, because the roads leading to it are rather narrow on the last few miles, but it works out and this is most likely the price for most accomodations that are located in this kind of peaceful landscape. The views from the patio are stunning, wildlife is all around you, we even had a pheasant right outside the door of the patio one morning. The pool at Woodsell Farm was a great way of a cool down in the early evenings after coming home from a daytrip from e. g. Canterbury (which can easily be reached by train from Faversham Station). You can take several walks on footpaths directly from the property. One day we walked for about 75 minutes all the way down to Charing to buy some food at the small local store "Londis", which we highly recommend for its sufficient variety of fruits, vegetables, cheese, bakery and others. The walk leads you along several footpaths in mainly untouched nature, so we enjoyed that a lot.We also highly recommend "The Plough Inn" at Stalisfield, which offers great service, tasty food and is just a 15-minutes-walk across the fields from Woodsell Farm. There are only two things that we would criticize with our accomodation. While the bedrooms, the bathroom and and the living room were all very neat, the kitchen was unfortunately not as spotlessly clean as one might expect at a five-star accomodation. Especially the oven with its baking trays clearly needed to be taken care of.Moreover, since there are of course a manifold of insects in an area like this, flyscreens on the bedroom windows might for sure help to avoid guests chasing mosquitos in the middle of the night. But this did not at all harm our magnificent holiday at Woodsell Farm.

We spent a lovely week at the end of July in Swallow. Everything was wonderful; the beds comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, the furnishings tasteful. And all this in the middle of a nature reserve, the only sounds being wild birds, in particular goldfinches and pheasants. We were there with our grandchildren, so the pool was enjoyed immensely. The staff we met were all very friendly and helpful. We can highly recommend this place…
