Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned garden with terrace, garden furniture, wild flower garden and BBQ. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced pond in the owners’ grounds, 5 yards away.. Once an old hall house, this beautifully renovated, detached cottage retains many original beams and features, some of which date back to the 1500’s. It is a Grade II listed property which lies within the owners’ grounds, and enjoys a large fenced garden and a wild flower gareden which is surrounded by countryside. Brenchley lies within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are walks from the doorstep across the fields and apple orchards to country pubs which serve good food.
It is ideally placed for visiting the plethora of historic houses and castles Kent and Sussex has to offer, including Bodiam Castle, Scotney Castle and Knowle House to name a few. Gardens are in abundance, such as the ones at Sissinghurst and Scotney. At Bewl Water, visitors can hire bikes and cycle around the reservoir, which is the largest stretch of open water in the south east.
Royal Tunbridge Wells is just a short drive away, where you can stroll amongst the colonnades on The Pantiles. Seek out the Kent and East Sussex vintage steam railway for a chug through the countryside or enjoy a wine tour at Biddenden Vineyard. 200 years ago, the stage coach went from Brenchley to London three times a week, now you can hop on a train from Paddock Wood or Tunbridge Wells and head to the capital for further sightseeing opportunities. Fishing is also available nearby. Beach 23 miles. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.
