The property offers a lovely blend of modern and traditional décor, a stunning garden, and plenty of activities for all ages. While the location is peaceful and close to scenic walks and a good local pub, some guests note the lack of nearby shops. Multiple reviews highlight the property as fantastically clean, beautifully tidy on arrival, and well cared for throughout. No significant negative comments regarding cleanliness were noted.

We still can’t get over the size of the property. On arrival, the house was beautifully clean and tidy. All the rooms are super-sized and well furnished. The kitchen was crammed full of crockery, pots and pans, utensils and cookware. The aga took a bit of time to get used to ( I recommend reading the instructions several times before you have a go, particularly as half of it is permanently hot) but once mastered was easy to use. Internet speed is ok for streaming, which is needed as there is only one TV in the dedicated to room, so our teenage grandkids resorted to streaming in their respective bedrooms. Each room is individually heated with underfloor heating but even in late October, the problems was cooling the house down rather than heating it. I have never seen so many light switches!! I counted over 40, so it took a while to work out which switch did what light, and several I never did fathom out .The property has a lovely garden but we were unable to use it due to the weather. Plenty of parking on site.In summary, a beautiful property which we all wished we could live in full time, although I am very glad it isn’t me that has to pay the energy bill.

We loved the property - lovely mix of modern and traditional decor. Heating very efficient. Lighting a little quirky. My parents are elderly and one struggles with mobility so the very wide step down to the kitchen area was a struggle and a worry. Some basics were available like oil, coffee pods, washing up liquid and some liquid hand soap. Thank you also for the wine and chocolates. Location lost a point because Cold Brayfield is just houses and you’re not able to walk to a village shop or pub.

Church Barn is a beautiful holiday home. It is well equipped with everything you need and beautifully furnished. It is very spacious with plenty of room for the family to spread out. There is a lovely garden for just sitting or outdoor eating and it is in a great location for walking or visiting local attractions. Would definitely recommend.
