The interior of this spacious first-floor apartment is simply charming. The owners have thoughtfully blended the original features with modern home comforts. Banksiae is adorned with a lovely mixture of vintage and contemporary furniture including a sumptuous bespoke 7’ 6" master bed for the ultimate in comfort. A leisurely breakfast can be enjoyed in the bay window whilst admiring the rural panoramic views across the Cherwell Valley.
Banksiae is inspired by the climbing rose "Banksiae Lutea", whose sprays of pale lemon blooms festoon the walls of the nursery house each spring. Named after the intrepid explorer SirJoseph Banks who studied in Oxford before setting off on his famous plant hunting voyages of discovery for Kew.
After your own day’s exploration of Oxfordshire’s delightful countryside and attractions you can return to the leafy surroundings of the nursery "Tea Garden." There you can relax and enjoy a delicious slice of handmade cake and a cup or two of English tea whilst planning your next day’s adventure.

We loved our stay here at this beautiful apartment, it was quite unique to stay on a plant nursery. It was warm, comfortable and clean, thoughtfully decorated, and finding milk in the fridge and some little breakfast bits on arrival was lovely. Beds were comfy, shower was excellent, kitchen well equipped, sofa very comfy too and loved having the dining table in the bay window where we could people watch! We met one of the owners, Andrew, on arrival, and he was welcoming and helpful, but left us to it which we liked. We usually go for detached, out of the way places, but we felt quite relaxed despite being in a wing of a family home. Even the comings and goings of nursery customers were more of a curiosity than an annoyance! It was easy to find, though we did arrive during the half term Pumpkin Hunt which meant our allocated parking space was taken over by pumpkins, but that was ok as we were able to park next to the gate just across from the front door instead. The nursery is lovely, if you're of a green-fingered persuasion you'll enjoy poking about in all the different sections, and we thought the cute little self-service "tea room" was a nice touch. A great little find, and perfectly located for exploring Oxford with two Park & Rides about 10-15 mins away which we made good use of.

Le cottage est arrangé avec beaucoup de gout et de raffinement et est très propre. literie confortable , linges de maison soignés, vaiselles et accesoires parfaits. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Liz et Andrew qui avaient préparé notre arrivée avec de nombreuses attentions délicates. sensation de confort et de beauté dès notre arrivée qui s'est confirmée tout au long du séjour. un vrai plaisir ! Andrew et Liz sont des hôtes très sympathiques que nous avons découvert avec grand plaisir
