About this property

Right in the heart of the rolling Oxfordshire countryside lies this stunning grade 2 listed Country Manor.

Completely surrounded by an expanding frame of gorgeous greenery and nature, this home somehow blends almost seamlessly into its surroundings, transporting guests through its rich history, telling stories with every tree and every brick.

Set across two floors, Country Manor is a home to six large bedrooms and can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. Each bedroom is the epitome of minimalist luxury, finished with large beds and cosy carpets, lit naturally by the large, Georgian style windows. Some of the downstairs bedrooms even have doors in which to access the manor grounds, a perfect excuse for an early morning stroll without worrying about waking anyone else!

The downstairs boasts classic high ceilings and near floor to ceiling Georgian windows which emphasise this home’s grand history. The natural light spills through these areas, further accentuated by the magnolia and cream walls, culminating in a light and airy atmosphere, where guests can truly relax in practically every room.

One of the more indulgent features of this home lies in the bathroom, one of which is home to a freestanding bath tub which is placed right in the centre of the room by a large glass window. Picture unwinding here, lit only by the moon and amongst the bubbles with a glass of champagne after a wonderful day exploring Oxfordshire.

Outside of this, there is a large, well-equipped modern kitchen, inspiring hearty country fare from any budding chef! There is also a dining room and lounge area. Of course, beyond this, there are plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy whether it’s for a walk, jog, or even a summertime picnic!

Oxford, or, as penned by poet Matthew Arnold, the “City of Dreaming Spires” is globally known university city in the south east of England, in the aptly named, Oxfordshire county.

Oxford is home to one of the world’s best universities and falls in the top two of the UK, fighting only with long time academic rivals, Cambridge. With such a high educational esteem and a long, rich history along with university buildings spilled throughout the bustle, the city of Oxford has always been a very regal styled area. Amazing architecture and historical buildings boasting exciting heritages feature throughout. This makes for a very unique city experience for visitors of all ages.

There are plenty of things to do in Oxford and definitely something for everyone. The University itself is definitely worth a visit, with many buildings and gardens open to the public including the Bodleian library. Beyond this there are a whole host of interesting museums such as the ‘History of Science Museum’ which is a quietly unassuming building packed to the brim with fascinating artefacts and a very large set of antique globes.

Away from the museums, the city is brimming with shops. In fact, Oxford is even home to Alice’s shop, the original Alice in Wonderland shop. Outside of this there are an array of quirky, eclectic shops around where visitors can purchase anything from varsity style clothes and unique books to Harry Potter robes and wands! There is also high street shopping available.

Throughout the din of shopping and museums there is an ever-expanding array of eateries and dining options available. Guests can indulge in formal dining options or simply opt for a pizza and a brew in a small independent pub found castle side.

Even better still, guests can go punting on the river, visit Carfax Tower, explore the Thames Path, watch a theatre show or even visit Blenheim Palace. There is plenty here to fill up any holiday!
