Invisible to passers-by and surrounded by countryside Saddlebacks Barn at Grove Farm is a Cotswold gem. The barn is located at the end of a private, tree lined drive in a traditional cotswold yard. Tastefully renovated to an immaculate standard mixing contemporary touches with classic Cotswold features. Together these provide a very high quality of self catering accommodation which has been carefully improved and maintained keeping it 'tip -top' - and we're sure you will agree. Views across the farm are almost uninterrupted - bar the horses. The location is perfect for touring the Cotswolds or popping into Oxford. Inside the barn is absolutely spotless, presented to a very high standard, attractive and spacious and equally perfect for two people. The owners are delightful and helpful yet discrete so you can sit in peace or get the hot tips on the nearby places to see!
Minster Lovell is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire on the River Windrush. It is popular for its ruin Minster Lovell Hall, famed for allegedly being the place the ninth Lord Lovell’s remains were found in an underground room. It is often visited now for picnics by the river or long walks through the surrounding meadows, as well as the dovecote nearby. It has several local county inns, including The White Hart and the Old Swan which provide excellent food and real ale. There are public footpaths that cross the field to the parish church or across the river to a small weir where local children often go to swim. Nearby attractions include the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Kilkenny Lane Country Park, both within a short driving distance. Minster Lovell is located 4 miles west of Witney and 2 miles east of Carterton.
