The Old Groom's Cottage is an absolutely spotless cottage, one which is hidden away in a quiet location in the village of Minster Lovell. Set down a private drive in the grounds of the owners home, Groom's has been converted into a high quality holiday home that is spacious and very well kitted out. Downstairs is an open plan space with a super-smart kitchen and very attractive living area that looks towards the garden area and stables in the distance. There is also a bedroom with ensuite, ideal for children or those people preferring not to stay on the upper level.
Upstairs is a large, open bedroom, with great views of the countryside plus beautiful ensuite bathroom .The property is immaculate and very well cared for and perfect for families or couples. As the property sits on a small-holding, there are some chickens plus other animals on site nearby which make it unique and interesting. Nearby are some basic shops plus a few good local pubs, so if you decide to 'do nothing' while on holiday you can do that here very easily!! . Places such as Burford and the market town of Witney are both about 5-8 mins drive away, with a wide range of things to do and places to eat and relax.
Minster Lovell is a village and civil parish in West Oxfordshire on the River Windrush. It is popular for its ruin Minster Lovell Hall, famed for allegedly being the place the ninth Lord Lovell’s remains were found in an underground room. It is often visited now for picnics by the river or long walks through the surrounding meadows, as well as the dovecote nearby. There are public footpaths that cross the field to the parish church or across the river to a small weir where local children often go to swim.
