Another fantastic stay at Compton Farm Cottages. The location is perfect with a fully enclosed garden for our dogs with open fields literally 2 steps away. Darcy’s tearooms a 2 minute stroll away stock most necessities as well as doing a great breakfast and lovely coffee. The pub opposite is currently closed and up for sale, but the Victoria Inn is less than a mile away and does a great deal on Thursdays - Steak night - The food was excellent. The Dairy itself is ideally laid out for 2 couples sharing with en-suite bedrooms at either end and a kitchen and living room in between giving privacy if wanted. The beach at Aldwick was a 35 minute drive, but easy to park and a bit cafe on the beach. Dogs welcome all year round.

My only 4/5 rating above was because the nearby pub is closed pending new owners! (Possibly lovers of quiet nights might even find that a good thing?!) Aside from that, just a lovely place to stay… warm, comfortable, quiet, welcoming … it’s got the lot and I would recommend without hesitation!

A lovely quiet place to stay. The owners were just across the farmyard and yet completely unobtrusive. Comfortable and spacious, with a view across a field and a wood. The Weald and Downland Living Museum is close by. Also Chichester Harbour.Near to various National Trust properties. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, with enough museums and activities to fill a week.
