This charming holiday retreat is just outside the village of Hunston, 3 miles south of Chichester. The pet-friendly property welcomes four guests and is ideal for couples and small families looking to explore the beautiful coast and countryside of West Sussex. A short 5-mile journey south brings you to the seaside town of Selsey, with its mile upon mile of remote beaches and fabulous coast paths. The town is also a great place to pick up delicious seafood for your supper, thanks to its popular fishermen’s huts. For wildlife enthusiasts, a trip to the wetlands at RSPB Pagham Harbour (3 miles) is a must, with its large display of rare seabirds. In Chichester, soak up the history at the cathedral and Roman city walls, before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many independent cafes or restaurants. Other nearby days out include the National Trust’s Petworth House (18 miles) and Goodwood Estate (7.5 miles).

Enter the semi-detached redbrick cottage into the inviting lounge/diner, which has a home-away-from-home vibe with artwork on the walls and cute accessories. Unwind here on the plump corner sofa to watch the Smart TV, or sit down at the wooden dining table to enjoy a meal together after a day of exploring. The separate kitchen provides everything needed to whip up hearty feasts using fresh, local ingredients. A contemporary shower room completes the ground floor. Heading upstairs, two characterful bedrooms await, with sloping ceilings and exposed beams. The first is a small double room with a double bed and an additional single bed (sleeping two guests in total), and the second is a delightful twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are decorated in calming, neutral tones for a good night’s sleep.

Outside is an shared enclosed courtyard with a choice of seating areas for al fresco dining or relaxing in the sunshine. The property has private parking for one car.
