The house has a sunny south facing terrace and substantial garden. The property has access to an extensive network of footpaths through this unspoilt part of the low weald rich in animals, birds and plant life.
The pretty village of Kirdford has a shop, pub and restaurant and there are numerous country pubs in local villages. The quaint town of Petworth (4 miles) is famous for its stately home, Capability Brown park and antique shops. The charming small town of Midhurst as well as Billingshurst and Haslemere are all within 20 minutes’ drive and have good restaurants and more extensive shopping. Motor racing and horse racing are nearby at Goodwood. Leornardslee and West Dean Gardens, Parham House, the Weald and Downland museum and the South Downs themselves are all close. Chichester (½ hour) has its ancient cathedral, festival theatre, Roman ruins, harbour tours and tearooms. At Arundel the castle and Wildfowl Trust are popular. Wittering and other beaches are half an hour away and there is polo at Midhurst and numerous golf courses within easy reach. Shops ¾ mile.
