The Lodge is only 20 minutes from the New Forest National Park, famous for its ponies, and borders Martin Down National Nature Reserve which is known for its wildlife, rare flowers and butterflies as well as the Jubilee Trail which crosses from border to border across Dorset and there is direct access to many miles of stunning footpaths, bridleways and cross-country cycling to enjoy around the hamlet of Pentridge.
Although the lodge is set in a quiet countryside location, you are only 40 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the south coast and the fossils of the Jurassic coast. If you are searching for a fun-filled day trip, then New Forest Water Park, Longleat, Peppa Pig World, Monkey World, and Bovington Tank Museum will offer fun for all ages and are well worth a visit. Our second stay at Country Lodge but won't be our last. Very cosy and extremely comfortable place to stay, perfect for watching buzzards, red kites, hares and cows!Some wonderful places to visit in the area, fantastic farm shops and places to eat.Lodge had a beautiful Christmas tree lit up when we arrived lovely touch. Fabulous place to stay.

We especially enjoyed the hot tub which was prepared warm and ready upon arrival. Hosts were very helpful when emailed our few questions and replied very quickly . Everything was perfect from state to finish .

Speechless view day and night! We all can’t wait to stay at Whitey top lodge. We have to wait a year to this holiday what a beautiful scenery and millions of stars at night. My daughter say hello every morning to mr&mrs cows. We look at the stars at night while we using the hot tub. We spotted red kites, yellow hammer and many small birds that we can’t see daily. What a beautiful place to stay! My husband found the best running routes too, he spotted many deers on his way down country lane. The lodge was very warm and sofa is the best! So comfy and also the beds and kitchen is fully equipment. It’s just beautiful and Julie is very good host too and good communication. Very recommended to stay here! Thank you for having us Whitey top lodge. Definitely will come back again ***
