About this property

Nestled in the heart of Christchurch in Dorset, within accessible distance from the New Forest National Park, the beautiful River Stour, and The Priority, is this quaint three-bedroom dwelling, 9A Wick Lane. Benefitting from an open-plan living space, furnished to a high standard throughout, and within walking distance to all the quaint and trendy bars, restaurants, and the beach, 9A Wick Lane welcomes six guests to enjoy a peaceful escape to Dorset. Arrive to allocated parking, and a sunny aspect garden, before heading indoors. Be welcomed into your new home-from-home, kick back and relax in the open-plan living area, boasting plush sofas and a Smart TV where you can catch up on your favourite shows or indulge in a movie night at the end of a long day; allow the designated chef of the group to rustle up a tasty dish with use of a fantastic range of appliances before settling down at the dining table ready to tuck in over a bottle of fizz. If the weather permits, why not take advantage of a charming outdoor area to delight in an alfresco affair amongst your lovely surroundings? When the stars appear overhead, retreat to the first floor to take a long soak or revitalising shower in the sleek bathroom before choosing from one of three characterful bedrooms, including two king-size and a twin, to catch your rest in. If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures in the centre of Christchurch where you can tour the Red House Museum and Gardens, visit the ruins of Norman House, take a relaxing stroll along the River Stour or sample some of the hearty fare at one of several restaurants or pubs including BODEGA, Loch & Quay and Arcado Lounge. Christchurch Quay is also within walking distance, where you can catch the ferry towards Mudeford Spit, or by car, drive to Avon Beach, with the must-visit restaurant of the Noisy Lobster, or head to Mudeford Quay to buy some local produce, or try your hand at crabbing! Along the coast, pay a visit to Southbourne Beach or Hengistbury Head Beach, ideal for soaking in the coastal views or enjoying an afternoon of watersports, or travel to the popular seaside location of Bournemouth to enjoy Bournemouth Pier, Oceanarium, Bournemouth Beach and Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre. However you choose to while away the days in Christchurch, do it from the inviting base of 9A Wick Lane.

In the estuaries of the Rivers Stour and Avon, where they merge to make a magnificent natural harbour, is the charming Dorset waterside town of Christchurch. The town of Christchurch is a true treasure, providing guests with a delightful and varied vacation experience. The town centre is home to a variety of charming boutiques and high-quality eateries, and it is well worth visiting the magnificent mediaeval priory, the longest parish church in the nation, as well as the castle remnants from the 11th century. Without taking a stroll down to the picturesque quayside to drink refreshments while seeing the always shifting boating scene or taking one of the frequent boat tours along the serene River Stour, your visit to Christchurch would not be complete. Take a ferry ride across the harbour from Mudeford Quay to the sandbank with its colourful assortment of tiny beach houses, then take your buckets and spades to one of the adjacent magnificent sandy beaches. If you run out of things to do in the neighbourhood, go over to the nearby family-friendly resort of Bournemouth or visit the New Forest National Park, both of which are only a short drive away. Instead, go to the nearby beach at Southborne, where a promenade leads to Boscombe and then Bournemouth. Christchurch, a charming waterside town, makes a wonderful and intriguing holiday resort all year round.

There were just hooks behind the bedroom door which was woefully inadequate The drawers provided do not accommodate dresses and items which usually would be placed hanging. there was an iron but no ironing board so items which had to remain in the suitcase became unwearable. It was quite disappointing. Likewise for coats only two hooks were provided in the downstairs cupboard but we were a party of five. Fortunately it did not rain but if it had it would have meant dripping wet items over furniture to dry. The lack of hanging is a big drawback
