Locally there’s a variety of things to both see and do, and there will be something to suit everyone in your party. Head towards the Fisherman’s Dock and take in the coastline as you meander down the Harbourside walking path, taking you past some historical landmarks along the way. Enjoy one of the many eateries or bars in the area, with a number of cuisines to satisfy everyone’s tastebuds. For some retail therapy, Dolphin Shopping Centre is just over a 10-minute walk away, with The Project Climbing Centre right next door with its rock climbing gym.

Further afield, just under 5 miles away is Splashdown waterpark, with an array of rides for thrill seekers and makes for a fun day out for the family. Another tourist favourite is Brownsea Island, where you can catch a ferry and visit the island owned by the national trust with its spectacular views, or to entice those history buffs, jump on Poole’s Jurassic Circular Cruise, taking you through Poole Harbour’s history and into Swanage and back, whilst catching spectacular views with a full commentary from the Captain to ensure you’re not to miss a thing!
