I won't be recommending these lodges as we had booked for 7nights but came away after just 4 nights. I had become very unwell after being bitten too many times, then we saw how dirty/dusty it was under the double bed and knew then that it was dust mites. The shower was either boiling hot water or stone cold. The spare bedroom smelt of damp and had mould on the curtains. From the outside these lodges look great but look closer once your inside. I won't be coming back.

We stayed here last year and our lodge was lovely. So we booked up to come back the following year. This time we upgraded to a hot tub. We arrived at our lodge and our carpet mat was falling apart and my partner fell straight over it. The livingroom and no blinds and the lodge smelled really bad. I contacted the reception and who was very rude, no apology and said I will send maintenance man round and bring you towels for living room window. Towels for our living room how ridiculous!!! Maintenance man came round fixed the floor temporarily and said he will come back tomorrow and properly fix it but he never did! Gave us towels which meant we couldn’t open our windows because towel where bring held in them. On the hottest week of year. I told him the lodge was filthy and came me some Febreze. What the hell is an air freshener going to do with a smell that smells like fish and garlic. The whole lodge was filthy, mould on curtains, window seals and door. Mould in shower and bath. There was thick round of dust beside the bedside tables, hair under dressing table.food in the sofa. under the beds, I don’t think I’ve ever been cleaned. There was so much stuff under all our beds it was unbelievable.. The hot tub had hairs in it and green mould all on the decking. When we woke up on our first morning our bedroom sink wasn’t draining. We went to reception and spoke to the manager who agreed this wasn’t good enough and she would send the maintenance man round to fix our floor and our sink also will send a cleaner over. We told them it needed a deep clean. We asked to be moved but they didn’t have any other lodges left. She said there nothing we she can other than we contact Hoseasons as we didn’t book through them and it was up to us if we stayed or went home. There was no way we could go home when we have a very excited child. If it was just us we would of left the same day we arrived. When we arrived later to our lodge the maintenance did come and sort our sink but whatever was blocking it they put it in our toilet and didn’t bother flushing it. Have picture to prove. Maintenance man never fixed the floor and no cleaners came to clean our lodge. Nobody contacted us in the meantime to ask if we was okay. It’s such a shame because last year we came and we had a great time this time we had an awful time and we definitely won’t be returning. We are in contact with Hoseasons and we’re hoping we can get something sorted as this really did ruining our holiday. I’ve been looking at the recent reviews and it doesn’t look like were the only ones have had issues with the lodges being dirty. This place needs a deep clean.

We stayed last week. We have been staying at the Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat since the lodges were new and in recent years the lodges have started to look tired and in need of a deep clean inside and outside and refurbishment. On our most recent visit the lodge on first inspection looked clean but we soon noticed that the kitchen equipment was dirty, worn out and not fit for purpose. The oven was so dirty I would not use it and the dishwasher didn't actually clean anything as it hadn't seen salt or rinse aid for a very long time!!. We had to clean the decking and outside furniture before we could use it. The lodges would also benefit from cushions on the sofas for a little extra comfort. We resorted to using the pillows from the beds. It's such a shame as we love staying here, the site is so quiet but we will probably look for somewhere else to stay next time.
