Evergreen is a well-loved cottage praised for its homely charm, stunning location, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, thoughtful touches like wild flowers and Prosecco, and the proximity to coastal paths and beaches. While some find the cottage and its facilities a bit dated, the overall experience is one of a cosy, welcoming retreat ideal for exploring Cornwall's beauty.
Reviews consistently mention that Evergreen is spotlessly clean, with several guests highlighting the property's cleanliness. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment contributes to the high score.
The location receives high praise for its proximity to lovely coves, beaches, and coastal paths. Guests are delighted by the peaceful setting and the ease of access to Cornwall's attractions, making the location almost perfect.
The majority of guests find the beds super comfy and the cottage cosy, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests mention low ceilings and soft beds as minor discomforts, slightly lowering the score.
While the property is well-equipped and guests are generally satisfied, there are several comments about the need for updating facilities, particularly the bathrooms. The presence of a well-provisioned kitchen and utility room is noted, but the dated aspects of some facilities affect the score.
Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts and dog-friendly amenities. While these are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

This very special cottage is simply gorgeous. The dining area has a huge table with benches/chairs and is ideal for seating the whole family. The sweet galley kitchen has a distinctive range-style cooker, and from here you access a porch which has a door to the garden.
Open tread stairs lead to four pretty bedrooms, two romantic king size doubles, one of which has views over the countryside; a single with a 4' antique French bed, and another single with ornate French bed. They share a bright and airy bathroom, whilst on the ground floor there is a shower room. Outside, is a large, peaceful and relaxing garden with a lovely summer house, lawns, shrubs and trees and a patio with a table/chairs and barbecue. The hamlet of Rinsey comprises mostly granite cottages, a cliff-top engine house standing sentinel to its tin mining history and is a short walk from its own little cove, which is owned by the National Trust.
Nearby Praa Sands is one of Cornwall's finest sandy beaches and the extremely popular village of Porthleven, with interesting shops, cafes and restaurants sitting around its pretty harbour is within easy reach.

Peaceful and comfortable and ideally situated. Good recommendations from the owner on places to visit. We will return for sure

Evergreen was absolutely fab and we hope to return next year. The cottage is so quirky, comfortable and well equipped. We loved it. Itâs slightly rural but with the sea just minutes away. The location of the cottage was so peaceful. All you can hear is the lovely house sparrows, it was absolutely wonderful. Praa Sands is 5 minutes drive away, cheap well organised parking and a nice beach. Just take sea shoes for the jelly fish! I really enjoyed my walk down to Rinsey Cove in the evenings, again silence just the birds and a beautiful view. The weather was stunning for a change and we want to leave, I could happily live in Evergreen. Thank you so much and we hope to return next July. Brilliant holiday
Alistair
Great for coastal and dog walks. Loads of fantastic places to eat or buy fish in Newlyn to cook up a real treat. The house is well equipped and beautifully styled with lots of home comforts.
