Guests say

Homeleigh Cottage receives high praise for its peaceful rural setting, warm and welcoming hosts, and comfortable accommodation. Guests particularly appreciate the cleanliness, thoughtful touches, and convenient location for exploring Bude and the north Cornish coast. The cottage is well-equipped and ideal for families, with many enjoying the farm experience. While a few minor maintenance issues and the remote location are noted, the positives far outweigh the negatives, making it a popular choice for a relaxing countryside break.

Most guests found the cottage very clean and tidy, with only a couple of isolated comments about missed cleaning details such as cobwebs or leftover items. Overall, cleanliness is consistently praised.

The rural, peaceful location is highly valued, offering tranquillity while still being a short drive from Bude, beaches, and local attractions. Some mention the need for a car and sat nav due to its remoteness.

Guests describe the cottage as comfortable and cosy, with good beds and a relaxing atmosphere. A few mention the living area being a bit small for six and note the upside-down layout may not suit everyone.

The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a stay, including amenities for families. Minor issues such as unclear oven settings and occasional maintenance needs are mentioned but do not detract significantly from the overall experience.

Many guests highlight the hosts' thoughtful gestures, such as homemade cakes and fresh flowers on arrival. While these touches are frequently mentioned, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a lovely stay and really appreciated all the lovely extra little touches that the owner does to make you feel welcome and your stay more comfortable (including the very yummy cake). The area is so peaceful yet not too far a drive from the beaches and shops etc.

Fantastic location to be for getting out and about and after a day out great to come back to, for peace and quiet. The owners are great and easy to get hold of if you require anything. It’s easy to find of the A39. If it’s your first time there it is best to call the owners a few days before arrival as if you are using the post code on your sat nav it won’t take you all the way. Great place would recommend and hopefully I will be returning there

Lovely place to stay, the owners are friendly and lovely too! Very quiet and peaceful and plenty of space inside the accommodation. The only thing we had trouble with is the oven as some of the writing on the front has come off so was tricky to know what setting and heat we were using other than that was a lovely stay!
