Settled in the charming village of Crackington Haven situated between Boscastle 7 miles and Bude 10 miles, is this fabulous, detached holiday home of Penlaurel. Crackington Haven is located in an AONB a small coastal village with a lovely sand and shingle cove and dominating cliffs. Penlaurel is the ideal home-from-home for a family or friends upto six wanting to explore this part of Cornwall, and is situated 1 mile from the beach and has wonderful rural views. Upon arrival, park in one of three generous off-road spaces and make your way inside this marvellous dwelling. Kick off your shoes and settle down in the charming sitting room, a space enjoying vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, along with leather seating nestled around a double-sided woodburning stove and TV. Continue next door to find an impeccable open-plan living space, with a skylight and bi folding doors streaming in natural light, why not get comfortable in the additional sitting area here, with stylish grey sofas offering seating in front of the wall-mounted TV.
Move across the space to the impressive kitchen, a contemporary space boasting shaker-style units, where the allocated chef of the group can rustle up mouthwatering meals on the selection of appliances provided, from an electric range cooker to an American-style fridge/freezer. Tasty treats can be enjoyed at the wooden-topped breakfast bar or as a sit-down meal with all the family at the nearby dining table; be sure to whip out a bottle of wine to make a toast to this excellent escape! The utility can be found close by and offers you a washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can keep your clothes fresh during your stay. As day turns to dusk, head to one of three thoughtfully laid-out bedrooms to recharge, with two situated on the ground floor and comprising of a double and a twin (or superking), whilst another double with a TV rests upstairs. Completing the property is a fantastic, ground-floor bathroom where you can enjoy a tranquil soak in the bath, or perhaps you'd prefer a rejuvenating rinse in the first-floor shower room. To the rear of the property is an idyllic patio, where a luxurious hot tub beckons you for a relaxing soak after a day packed with excursions; the space also hosts a barbecue with relaxed seating and table and chairs, which is ideal for the summer months! To the side and front of the property is a large enclosed lawned area. Get acquainted with your surroundings in Crackington Haven and embark on a walk or short drive towards the village's beautiful beach. Once at the beach The Coombe Barton Inn offers good food and perfect sea views, along with 2 local cafes serving excellent local produce, before trying your hand at hiking part of the South West Coastal Path. The village of Crackington Haven has a well stocked Community Shop, and near by are Boscastle Farmshop and café, Marshgate Stores with a Post Office. Bude the local town lies further afield and offers and array of shops and supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, and hosts a range of activities, from dipping your toes in the shores of the beaches or Bude Sea Pool, or enjoying a round of golf at the local golf club. Just a few fantastic sights and attractions have been mentioned here, the wider area hosts so many more, with the AONB offering several more picture-postcard towns and villages, and Bodmin Moor resting a scenic drive away. An unforgettable break with your loved ones is waiting to be experienced at Penlaurel!
