We had a lovely stay at Trew House with our family there were 10 of us, kids, adults, grandparents and a dog and there was plenty of room for all! Garden and outside areas were fantastic for family games and a bbq. Surrounding area was peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were helpful and approachable ensuring our stay was hassle free. We had great fun exploring Bude beaches, canal and town which were only 10 minutes drive with plenty of parking and we hired a beach hut for 3 days which would thoroughly recommend too! 100% recommend Trew House for group and family holidays - perfect for all young and old thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a difficult review for me to complete. I booked it for special family holiday with my youngest son and his family over from Australia and three birthdays. It ticked all the boxes ! The House is truly amazing and well equipped n a secluded rural setting with plenty of inside and outside space for the Grandchildren. However we did have a number of unexpected problems for a Property in this price range including a broken double bed, water leak from a cold water tap and a broken hot water heater. "Things happen" with all Properties but the most significant issue was the pervasive smell of heating oil from the Boiler Room and this adversely affected the ground floor Bedroom to the extent that my eldest Grandson experienced breathing problems and spent the week sleeping on a mattress in the lounge. Oil Boilers often smell but what made this totally unacceptable was that it was a known pre-existing problem from a previous oil leak and a defective part in the outside supply pipe from the tank to the Boiler. I feel the Letting Agents/Owner should have been open and transparent about this problem. In fairness to the Owner she did try to sort some things out but we had Trades People in and out during the week which is not what you really want on holiday. We did not let these issues spoil the Holiday but it did detract from a memorable experience. Without these problems Trew House would have definitely been 5 ⭐

Really enjoyed our week at Trew. It’s a big house with plenty of room around the table for family meals, a large garden for kids to enjoy, an easy 10 minute stroll into Stratton for the shop or pub, and a short drive to the beaches at Bude. There are also great views from the bedroom windows across the fields.
