I spent 5 mins at the apartment before deciding it wasn't for me. The photos on cottages.com website are misleading and old. The apartment looks like a converted garage, with a door leading from the owners property directly into the kitchen/lounge. Although the decor was nice, the photos had obviously been taken awhile ago, as more wear and tear is apparent. There was a musty smell in the apartment..On arrival, the owner apologised for the blown glass in the front patio window. I felt there would of been little privacy due to the layout of the properties. If you do rent and decide it's not foe you, word of warning. You have to contact cottages.com whilst at the property to raise your concerns, otherwise you can't get a refund.

Mike and Helen's place was a great place to stay in Cornwall. The accommodation is attached to the main house but completely private with its own decking and views acros the countryside. It had everything you needed for my family of four and we were able to cook with a full kitchen. Mike and Helen were on hand for anything and even let us check in very late. The apartment was close to great places such as Boscastle, Tintagel, Polzeath and Bude.

Didn’t expect to be staying in someone’s garage! This is attached to the bungalow.Although well equipped no real nice touches. Cobwebs and thick dust everywhere. Corners bad in the bedroom and sides of kitchen cupboards as well as in the radiators. Thick dust almost everywhere that needs a bit of effort to get to.Shame really as the photos look far better than the reality. Mike and Helen were lovely hosts but they really need to make a bit more effort with the cleaning.Cut our stay short I was unwell but would have stayed had it been more comfortable to relax in. Unfortunately I just wanted to leave.
