Snuggling right in the heart of the Cornish creekside village of Mylor Bridge is the beautiful 6a Lemon Hill. This lovingly restored, cosy cottage has a welcoming open-plan living space with nautical touches, reflecting its proximity to the scenic Mylor Creek. Look forward to curling up on the plush sofas, enjoying the warming glow and soothing crackle of the woodburning stove on a winter’s night. Cooking can be a social event with loved ones in this open-plan, well-appointed, light and airy kitchen. Enjoy home-cooked food together around the table or dine alfresco in your secluded garden. At bedtime, head upstairs to two well-presented bedrooms, a double with en-suite facilities and a twin with a handy zip/link feature. After a refreshing night’s sleep, start the day with a refreshing shower in the downstairs shower room. Step outside to your enclosed, sun trap garden, a space to relax in from dawn till dusk. Retreat to the summerhouse, where you can savour evening drinks while stars fill the sky and your pet has the freedom to roam free. Stock up on all your essentials at the local stores, which lie within walking distance from the property. You can also find the local pub, The Lemon Arms here if you fancy a break from cooking. Idyllic waterside and country walks start from the doorstep. Enjoy a short stroll down to look at the boats from Mylor Quay or carry on walking around the coast to The Pandora Inn, a thatched pub where you can enjoy the unique experience of dining on its floating pontoon. If you are interested in getting on the water, Mylor Yacht Harbour offers boat, paddle board or kayak hire and sailing courses. For something a little more sedate, you can watch the boats go by at its waterside cafe or wine bar. The vibrant harbour town of Falmouth is only a short drive away where you can brush up on maritime history at the National Maritime Museum and famous castle or relax on its sandy beaches. Stroll through the town centre and enjoy the quirky independent shops and choice of many bars, cafes and restaurants. Spend the day exploring Trelissick, one of the jewels of the National Trust's crown with its tropical gardens, maritime views, woodland walks and welcoming cafe or hop onto the King Harry Ferry and explore the glorious Roseland Peninsula. For a welcoming, pet-friendly base from which to explore the wonders of Cornwall, 6a Lemon Hill promises a holiday to remember for a lifetime.
A quaint and desirable community at the mouth of Mylor Creek, which rises from the depths of Carrick Roads, the third largest deep water harbour in the world. The area is typified by its proximity to water and the presence of boats and sailing, its wooded creeks, its gently lapping water, its riverside pubs, and its fabulous gardens. There is a Post Office, a good pub, and a number of restaurants within walking distance in this warm and welcoming village. The nearby town of Falmouth is a great day trip thanks to its Maritime Museum, castle, beaches, and marina, and Truro, the Cathedral City, with its famous cobblestone streets, theatres, museums, and lively shopping centre, should not be missed either. Take a drive or a boat ride from Falmouth up the breathtakingly beautiful Helford River, and while you're there, don't miss the horticultural treats of the year at Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens. The Lizard Peninsula, with its cliffs, beaches, and fishing villages, is within easy driving distance, and so are the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
