A restful home-from-home in a quiet corner of the Village of Gardens at Pendra Loweth, Hedgehog Cottage is just a short drive from the popular maritime town of Falmouth. A purpose built village of holiday homes, Pendra Loweth is a great choice for young families, with onsite all-weather tennis courts, a splash pool, shared lawns and a childrens playground. Hedgehog Cottage sits at the end of a terrace, a stones throw from the tennis courts, overlooking a babbling stream and the footpath which leads down to Maenporth beach. On the ground floor, a modern kitchen leads into an open plan lounge/dining area - from where, French doors open out on to a private terrace which catches the afternoon sun each day.
Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms provide plenty of space and storage; the second of which can be presented as either a king size bed or twin beds, affording flexibility for couples or friends looking to holiday together. Out and about, the North Helford offers a combination of beach, valley and creekside adventures; discover hidden hamlets, riverside inns, sub-tropical gardens and plenty of opportunities to get out on the water. Quirky Falmouth has an eclectic range of shops as well as some excellent restaurants and a colourful marina where hours can be spent just watching the world go by. Falmouth is also home to the National Maritime Museum, a good option for a rainy day.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).

The location is perfect for us, we have stayed at several cottages and this is the best so far. On a personal note, not a complaint, I would rather have a washing machine than a dishwasher if I had to choose, and the lighting is a little dull. I know they are energy saving bulbs, but if your eyesight isn't good, low lighting can be a problem.

Everything was great, it was a lovely cottage. We have stayed at Pendra a few times now and all the cottages are great. We come down to Falmouth at least once a year as we have family there. Looking forward to our next stay, and we will try and book Hedgehog cottage again

The beds were very comfy and the kitchen had more than enough equipment .We were still finding equipment 3 days into our holiday. We had a fabulous 2 weeks meeting with our family who live in Falmouth and Mabe and the weather was good too. Thank you xx
