Gardeners Cottage is set in the grounds of Carwinion House surrounded by woodland gardens with a footpath beside the property leading to the coastal footpath and Helford River, This tastefully furnished cottage is perfect for families or anyone wishing to explore the beautiful region of the Helford River, the maritime town of Falmouth and beyond. Through the front door, you step into a farmhouse style kitchen that is well equipped including a range cooker, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Move through the kitchen to a dining room, with four dining chairs and a large bench that will seat up to six guests in total, sumptuous dinners can be enjoyed here whilst reflecting on the day. After a day of walking, the sitting room will welcome your return with a two plush three seater sofas and an armchair to relax on and the TV provides entertainment. Head up the Bifurcated staircase and to the right, is the master bedroom, a spacious and light room with a super-king-sized bed along with a wardrobe and a dressing table and chest of draws. Across the landing the family bathroom, offers choice of bath and shower over. The other bedrooms include a king-size and twin, both complete with crisp white bed linen. Take a favourite drink outside and soak up the sunshine from the outdoor furniture, or prepare the table for some alfresco dining on a sunny evening. Just over a mile away Grebe Beach, a small sand and single beach is easily accessible at a low tide, favoured by walkers, wildlife fans and boat lovers alike. Those looking to get their steps in can amble along the South West Coast Path, with a glorious walk westwards up the estuary towards the village of Gweek and strolling inland just a mile away are the sub-tropical gardens of Glendurgan, offering its hedge maze, exotic plants and a tea-house café. Alternatively, explore the scene on boat or kayak, discovering secret creeks and tiny coves on the banks of the River Helford, with a home-made picnic to enjoy. Once those are ticked off, be sure to visit the bustling town of Falmouth where you can explore the spirit of the sea in the National Maritime Museum before refuelling at an award-winning restaurant or harbourside café. The pretty little village of Mawnan Smith is set along the banks of the Helford River, three miles south of Falmouth. It is set in an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, providing a number of woodland walks, and the subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah provide great opportunity for nature lovers. Within the village there is a traditional pub, a restaurant, a church and a handful of shops, ensuring visitors are fully catered for. Visit the nearby town of Falmouth, boasting a wealth of amenities and attractions, including the National Maritime Museum.
