Gylly Beach View - TOR is a well-regarded holiday apartment in Falmouth, praised for its superb location with stunning sea views, proximity to the beach, local amenities, and attractions. The spacious and well-equipped property offers a balcony and modern conveniences, making it a favourite for repeat visitors. While some maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns are noted, the overall experience is highly valued by guests.
The apartment generally maintains good cleanliness, with several guests finding it very clean. However, there are isolated reports of it not being as clean as before, including a specific mention of a dirty towel in a cupboard, which suggests room for improvement.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the beach, local cafes, and shops, as well as its beautiful views. It is considered an amazing spot, contributing to the property's high appeal.
Comfort receives mixed reviews. While the apartment is spacious and offers beach gear and a lovely balcony, there are complaints about uncomfortable sofas, high fridge placement, and a preference for firmer mattresses.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the apartment described as well-equipped and luxuriously furnished. However, some guests mention minor issues like chipped crockery and a sporadic TV signal, indicating minor maintenance needs.
Thoughtfulness is shown through welcome gifts such as flowers and baked goods, which are appreciated by guests. However, as not all reviews mention gifts and there is no consistent reference to their quality or guarantee, a score cannot be accurately provided.

Great apartment. Such a good location. Overlooks the beach and gardens. 2 min walk takes you to the sea and to the local Co-op, which is open till 11pm and well stocked. If you didn’t have a car and were fit enough to walk up the steep hills to town (20 mins), you wouldn’t need to go anywhere else while on holiday. Apartment is spacious and well equipped. Beach gear and chairs available, though we had brought our own. There’s a lovely balcony to see the sea without leaving home. The nearby cafe/ bar / restaurant is great. Also two coffee vans for excellent coffees and milkshakes.Lovely local cinema, history tours with Falmouth uncovered, and great independent shops to browse. We also went to alternative beaches with better waves for body boarding. Lots to choose from if you have a car though station was close by and could have done that.

We really love this holiday apartment and have been here several times. The location is amazing right by a garden and gyllynvase beach. The apartment itself we have lots of memories over the years and it’s changed quite a bit following lockdown. Our older children are grown now so we will be looking for somewhere smaller to go. I’ve never really liked the sofa here it’s incredibly uncomfortable and the table and chairs are not to our taste. The kitchen can be difficult to use as the fridge is immensely high, the freezer is more accessible. The TV signal only works occasionally. The apartment isn’t as clean as it used to be- perhaps there are different cleaners. The cupboard for instance had a dirty towel just tossed in there. The welcome gift of flowers was much appreciated even though it was the cheapest chrysanthemums going! We also had a cake and cookie but no welcoming drink, what a shame. The apartment must take a lot of upkeep as there’s always something that needs doing. The balcony was still rather dirty- just have it brushed off. The coop nearby is really handy. It was very busy this time and the noise level was prohibitive.

Very good apartment with a fantastic view.We had very good weather so spent a lot of time on the balcony. No big deal but some crockery had chips.
