About this property

Resting a stone’s throw away from the sandy beach in the coastal town of Falmouth, Cornwall is Pendennis House. This fantastic three-storey house welcomes up to twenty guests in ten spacious bedrooms and benefits from off-road parking for six cars, an enclosed rear garden with hot tub, games room. Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and choose from several living spaces with TV’s while the designated chef of the group prepares something tasty in the well-equipped kitchen; alternatively, head outside to enjoy alfresco mealtimes before taking a soak in the hot tub or start a tournament in the snooker room. When the sky darkens, wash off the day’s adventures in the en-suite shower rooms on each floor, then retire to one of ten wonderfully decorated bedrooms to catch your sleep. Before you head out, wake yourself up by relishing your morning coffee on the sun loungers. Explore the surroundings around you to discover a wide range of amenities and activities, such as the National Maritime Museum, Falmouth Art Gallery, the spectacular Pendennis Castle, and a variety of beautiful beaches. Visit the Indidog Eatery, The Boathouse Pub, or The Jacob Ladder Inn for a meal before boarding a ferry to St. Mawes. You may also take a leisurely stroll around the natural harbour. In Penryn, further out, you'll find a great range of waterfront restaurants nearby as well as the Penryn Museum and the infamous Verdant Brewing Company. If you want a taste of city life, visit Truro, and admire the spectacular cathedral, the rich history at the Royal Cornwall Museum, and the Enchanted Trail. However you choose to fill your days, choose Pendennis House as the base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and site of special scientific interest teeming with a variety of wildlife. There is also a golf course. Falmouth offers such a rich variety of landscape and attractions for people of all ages, it is sure to tempt you back time and again.
