The apartment is one of six within a beautiful Victorian/Edwardian mansion that has been renovated to an exceptional standard. It sits within a quiet spot but is within easy reach of the centre of Fowey, its harbour, restaurants, pubs, and shops. From the large terrace you can enjoy the sunshine while admiring views of the river, Polruan, and the grounds of Place, Fowey's renowned medieval house. Stroll along the Esplanade to Readymoney Cove (1 mile) and join the South West Coast Path or take a ferry across to Polruan (0.5 miles by ferry). Par Sands (4 miles) boasts a wide stretch of sand backed by dunes. For top days out, head to the Eden Project (6 miles) or visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan (14 miles) with its magical woodland and historic gardens.
Reached by steps from the parking area, the apartment is on one level on the ground floor with an enviable large south-facing terrace. The private front door opens into an entrance hall with a handy cloakroom just off it. Inside, the apartment unfolds into a generous open-plan living area where triple-fold doors frame views across the harbour, Polruan and a glimmer of sea beyond. The bespoke kitchen is ready for everything from lazy breakfasts to celebratory suppers, and includes a dining area and comfortable seating. There are beautifully presented bedrooms: a king-size and two doubles. Two have en-suite shower rooms and the other has an en-suite bathroom. Bedroom two has doors leading straight out to the terrace. You’ll also find a handy separate WC. There is one study bedroom, and a Smart TV in the lounge. In colder weather, the underfloor heating provides an ambient warmth in every room. A washer dryer is housed in the airing cupboard.
Outside, the paved, enclosed terrace is set up for sun-soaked afternoons and al fresco meals, all with lovely views towards the harbour and across to Polruan. The building has a little car park (residents only) where you can tuck your car up in designated space number 5, and there are also three visitor spaces that operate on a first come first served basis.
