There are some lovely coves and sheltered beaches along the stretch of coast from Porthleven to Penzance or start the coastal path from Loe Bar. Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, where there is lots to explore, from quaint traditional fishing villages to a spectacular coastline and some forgotten coves and beaches. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and “Furry Dance” which happens in May.
