The Summer House in Cornwall receives high praise for its perfect accommodation, beautiful gardens, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently mention the property's tranquility, cleanliness, and ideal location for exploring Cornwall. The cottage is described as well-appointed and comfortable, with many guests returning or planning to return, indicating a highly satisfactory experience.
Reviewers consistently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness. This suggests that the property is maintained to an exceptionally high standard of hygiene.
The property is praised for its well-positioned location to visit West Cornwall, with easy access to local landmarks and the coast. The secluded setting is also appreciated, although one mention of proximity to a road suggests it may not be perfect for all.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, perfect for couples, and providing a relaxing holiday experience. The new bed and the overall cosiness of the cottage contribute to the high comfort level reported by reviewers.
Facilities and maintenance are highly regarded, with mentions of a well-appointed cottage and thoughtful touches. The extensive gardens and on-site tea room add to the facilities' appeal. One instance of a quick response to a shower mat request indicates excellent maintenance.
The hosts are noted for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of a welcome pack and homegrown flowers. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, although common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
This stunning and unique converted cow byre is situated within 2 miles of Helston. Detached and secluded from the owners' residence the property provides a romantic couples retreat. The interior is spread over three levels, with wood or brick flooring, high vaulted ceilings with lofted timber beams, a central brick feature fireplace and a superb mezzanine bedroom. The entrance leads into the open plan living area and seven steps on a curving semi-spiral staircase up to the mezzanine bedroom with feature brick wall and wood flooring. Steps from the living area leads you to the ground floor and the tastefully fitted kitchen with stone tiles and door of to the shower room. The sitting area has a traditional wood burner within a brick feature fireplace, a dining area and doors opening to a patio which leads onto a beautiful garden, which has a mixture of lawn, paths, pond and so much more. Artists and photographers alike will take pleasure in wandering through the owners' woods and picturesque gardens that are vibrant with colour from a profusion of lush planting. Helston is lovely market town to explore. A great position for exploring south Cornwall. Porthleven is just a 10 minute drive with its lovely harbour, fishing boats, fine restaurants, bespoke shops and the beach. You are also within a 30 minute drive to Falmouth, The Lizard and Penzance all of which have lots to see and do. There are some lovely coves and sheltered beaches along the stretch of coast from Porthleven to Penzance or start the coastal path from Loe Bar. A perfect cottage which is ideally situated to explore Cornwall although when you stay at the Summer House you may not want to leave it.
