Stunning barn conversion with everything we could have needed. Raeburn cooker, brilliant house design - and of course a pet peacock who tapped on our window, and Ludo - a beautiful and friendly black cocker spaniel (who I seriously considered abducting at the end of our stay). At night, the silence was only disturbed by the hooting of owls and the bark of nearby foxes.Amanda was charming - and nothing was too much trouble for her to ensure our break was a superlative one.Location was slightly problematical (single track roads with 90° bends and few passing places) - but we live in North Cornwall, so we’re quite used to that. Excellent restaurants nearby - and we’ve now ticked-off a new handful of hidden Cornish villages on our bucket list.

We had a lovely stay. Amanda is really helpful and friendly. The gardens are beautiful and lots of fun for the children. The local beach is great to visit for rock pooling, fishing and has boat hire.

It was a most unexpected surprise to be in such a beautiful location in Cornwall. The house had everything a family needs for a stay. A peacock always going around and owners friendly dog and cat were a joy to be with. A walk towards Heldord river was a scenic experience
