Perfectly located for enjoying all the stunningly beautiful Lizard Peninsula has to offer, this cosy yet spacious cottage is set a short walk from the centre of the beautiful village of Mullion, famous for the dramatic Mullion Cove and five miles from the historic market town of Helston. Parking directly outside the cottage the moment you enter you will be taken by the welcoming spacious feel of the open plan living area with kitchen, sitting area and dining area. A fascinating collection of cult photographs, many signed and collected by the owner over 35 years adorn the walls and make most interesting viewing whilst enjoying a game of pool.
With a large woodburner taking centre stage and really comfy furniture this is a lovely room to relax and plan the day ahead or reflect on the times spent enjoying this very special and unique corner of Cornwall. Outside you will have a choice of areas to sit out and enjoy a morning cuppa or relax after a day on the beach, touring or walking the breathtaking coastal path. A short enjoyable stroll will take you into Mullion village where a fine selection of shops, inns, craft shops and galleries await you. The Mounts Bay Inn here is particularly recommended for excellent locally-sourced food and a good range of Cornish real ales.
With so much to do and see in this wonderful location a stay at Blue Oyster offers superb accommodation and can be enjoyed all year round.
Mullion is a village on the Lizard Peninsula, just over five miles from Lizard Point, the most southerly tip of mainland Britain. The village is home to a selection of popular restaurants, shops and pubs, as well as Mullion Cove, a working harbour.

It has all mod cons and an excellent en-suite double bedroom. I holidayed there in early February and found the two electric heaters to keep the property warm and comfortable throughout the cold days. The property is situated on the outskirts of Mullion village which has two mini supermarkets, two pubs and a fish and chip restaurant. A fifteen minute walk from the village will take you to two excellent hotels with views overlooking the rugged coastline. If walking the South West Coast Path is your favourite pastime then the Blue Oyster is ideally situated for walking all of the Lizard Peninsula. There is an excellent bus service from Penzance to Helston and from Helston to the Lizard village. The owner Dean is very friendly and helpful and is on hand should he be needed to solve any property issues or indeed to offer local tourism advice. I have stayed several times over recent years and I will be booking another stay in the future. I can highly recommended the Blue Oyster for a relaxing, stress free holiday.

The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Dean and his son were very pleasant and Dean was very responsive to any messages. The pool table nearly caused a divorce, great fun!
