A cosy two-bedroom cottage boasting fantastic river views, Bosun's is a delightful little bolthole, perfect for a romantic break. A short, level walk to the shops and pubs in the centre of the village, it is also close to the passenger ferry and a lovely spot to watch river life go by.

Wake up in the morning in the double bedroom to the sight of sailing boats gliding past on the river outside and continue admiring the view as you sip your morning coffee in the comfortable lounge. Tastefully decorated with neutral colours and artwork nodding to the cottage's coastal location, it provides a relaxing retreat after a day out exploring Polruan, across the river into Fowey and beyond.

Set on the east bank of the River Fowey, Polruan is a picturesque coastal village built on a steep hill and surrounded by water on three sides. With two pubs, a cafe and a couple of shops, it's a peaceful spot for a break away from it all. Hop on board the ferry to the town of Fowey which lies just across the river. The narrow streets of its old town are home to numerous interesting medieval and Georgian buildings, while in the main street, an abundance of independent shops, cafes and restaurants can be found, where you can try the unmissable River Fowey Mussels. From Fowey you can take a cruise up the river or out to sea, or take in the coast on foot, heading east from Polruan or west from Fowey, along the stunning South West Coast Path.

- Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.

- Amenities such as the ferries, pubs and shops in Polruan are accessed via slopes or steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.

- There are many small winding streets in and around Polruan that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. There is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village.
