Guests say

Palmers Lodge in Cornwall receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches such as cream tea and wine on arrival. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and convenience for exploring Cornwall and Devon. While most reviews are positive, noting the well-equipped facilities and welcoming host, a few mention areas for improvement in maintenance.

The majority of guests have commended the lodge for its immaculate condition. However, one review mentioned a less satisfactory experience with cleanliness, particularly in the shower area, which slightly impacts the overall score.

The location is generally praised for being quiet and central for touring Cornwall and Devon. There is one mention of an unpleasant smell from nearby farming, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with several positive comments about the cosy atmosphere and homely feeling. There is a single mention of a desire for better views from inside, suggesting a minor area for enhancement.

Facilities are often described as well-equipped and adequate for guests' needs. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance and improvements, such as the garden furniture condition and a defective toilet seat, which suggest room for improvement.

The host's thoughtfulness is frequently highlighted, with many guests appreciating the welcome gifts. It should be noted that while these gestures are warmly received, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

I was by myself but great for a couple too. It's small but well equipped with a great shower and comfy bed. Melissa is a great host, and I had a bottle of wine and some scones on arrival! I know the area very well and Palmers Lodge is in an ideal location for days out to the many beaches, coves, villages and attractions in the area. Highly recommended!
