Guests find the beds and sofas comfortable, and the lodge cosy, contributing to a high comfort level. Some guests mentioned issues with bed comfort and outdoor furniture cushions, which slightly impacts the score.
Facilities like the hot tub are appreciated, but there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the need for better lighting options, outdoor furniture care, and appliance documentation. These points suggest room for improvement.
The property is commended for thoughtful touches like a welcome pack and regular hot tub maintenance. While gifts are mentioned and appreciated, it is noted that such offerings are not guaranteed and may vary.

Prior to arrival, communication about the property (directions, access etc.) and amenities was excellent. On arrival, access to the lodge was exactly as described. The lodge was exceptionally clean, and has everything and more needed for a super comfortable stay. We loved the additional touches such as some milk in the fridge, fluffy pillows and dressing gowns. The large TV with access to Netflix and Prime allowed for cosy movie nights in (when we werenât in the hot tub of course). The hot tub was perfect, with beautiful views over the country side. There were no problems with it at all, and the hot tub elves checked it regularly to make sure it was topped up and clean. The location of the site is also fantastic, easy access to main roads and beautiful countryside walks. We visited the crows nest pub for food as per some of the recommendations, and the staff and food there was excellent! Having a list of nearby pubs emailed to us beforehand, and also in the the lodge was so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at Faraway Fields, and canât wait to come back!

Well kept and generally comfortable. Fabulous location and the team were friendly and helpful: The smallest improvements come with the temperatures. The radiators did not get hot and even despite someone from maintenance coming to check it was too cool in the mornings and late evenings. (Luckily the weather was mild) The hot tub was lovely, but a small net to help clean out the bits from the trees would have been a helpful addition too. Overall we would return and defiantly recommend

The lodge itself, looked very tired in places; curtains in the master bedroom were badly stained and mouldy across the bottom. The washer dryer wouldnt dry the towels, which in October was vital and the beer fridge appeared to not work, and no chopping boards provided in the kitchen. The outside bushes down the side of the property, outside the main bedroom window, was so over grown, it made it nearly impossible to open and ventilate the room. Also the bushes surrounding the properties driveway badly needed trimming too, as this made it very difficult to get in and out of the car without it scratching the doors. The pictures on the website desperately need up dating as they definitely do not give a true picture. And to finish it off, we had unexpected visitors walking past the property at the bottom of the garden, at the back of the property, looking into the main living area, which also gave us no privacy when using the hot tub!
