The local area offers fantastic outdoor activities; embark on a journey through Bodmin Moor, where footpaths trail across broad, sweeping landscapes, and two beautiful lakes are within easy driving distance, both offering great opportunities for fishing, cycling and watersports. For a more relaxed day, head into the market town of Liskeard and browse the independent shops, arts and heritage centre or visit the many notable buildings, including Victorian Guildhall, Regency Market Hall and St. Martin's Church. From Liskeard you can catch a train to the fishing village of Looe and enjoy a journey full of beautiful views where the river meets the sea, or head further afield to the famous naval city of Plymouth for a memorable day out. Liskeard is an ancient stannary and market town in the South East of Cornwall. The town offers a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as many buildings of interest including the Regency Market Hall and St. Martin's Church. Just 9 miles away is the quaint fishing port of Looe where sandy beaches and a thriving harbour can be found. For days out, the city of Plymouth and world-famous Eden Project are easily accessible.
