A tranquil getaway located amid rolling farmland on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor, Upton Cross is a tiny Cornish community that once served as a home to miners. From here, it's simple to reach some of Bodmin Moor's most notable landmarks, such as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill, the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor, and the engine houses at Minions. The community features a Post Office and a classic bar from the 17th century that serves delicious food. From the beautiful waters and fishing towns of the south coast to the pounding waves of the north shore, both coasts are easily accessible. There are fishing opportunities for salmon and trout in the nearby rivers, and Siblyback Lake, which is 6 miles distant, offers angling and water sports. The views and location was amazing. The cottage had everything you needed and the owners checked everything was ok during our stay. Our dog even had a welcome bag. We will definitely return.

The area was very quiet which is just want we needed. A dog field where we could let them off the lead and across the field directly onto the moor. The only reason we didnât give a 10 was that we found the sofa uncomfortable and mentioned this in the visitors book. Also a suggestion for a clothes airer for all the wet dogs towels. We will hopefully visit again.

The cottage had everything that we wanted, included secure garden for our two dogs, and everything worked as it should. Beautiful cottage would certainly return if we wanted to visit Cornwall again, thank you.
