Some properties pet friendly. It has often been said that Rosecraddoc Manor must be the nearest thing to paradise. The manor properties stand in 38 acres of beautiful grounds and woodlands, set around a lovely lake, stocked with carp, roach and bream. Rosecraddoc Manor features a variety of properties surrounding the historic Manor House to cater for all tastes whether classic, modern, cosy or cottage style is what you are looking for. The manor was built in the 1820s on the site of a much older house mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is Grade II listed, along with two bridges in the grounds, and has now been converted into these attractive apartments and cottages, making a perfect base for your Cornish holiday.
On site you can fish on the lake (bring own fishing licence, barbless hooks and landing nets must be used, please) or play tennis on the all weather court (smooth soled tennis shoes to be worn, not squash shoes; please bring your own racquets and tennis balls). If you can bear to leave this beautiful spot, just 2½ miles away in Liskeard there is a superb leisure complex, where you can enjoy squash, badminton, gym, indoor bowls and indoor leisure pools, which include a children’s pool and flume, as well as the main pool.
Within 4 miles you can explore Bodmin Moor, where you can go riding, walking or even try water sports on Siblyback Lake - wind surfing, dinghy sailing and canoeing are available. To the south, lovely sandy beaches and pretty fishing harbours lie along the coast. Several excellent golf courses can also be found in the area; and the Eden Project is only 20 miles away.
The Manor and the Coach House have been tastefully and sympathetically restored to please the most discerning guest. The cottages are refs B6859, CV7102, CV7103, CV17, CV13 and CV44. Some of the cottages are suitable for guests with disabilities (CV44 is designed for the convenience of visitors with disabilities, as well as able-bodied visitors), and ref B6859 boasts an American fridge/freezer. Access to the front door of the manor is by 3 stone steps. The apartments are refs CV14, CV20, CV11 and B4866 which are all on the first floor and ref CV12 is a ground floor apartment. Whichever you choose you will find it immaculately clean, with freshly laundered linen and tea towels. Please bring your own towels. Cot linen is not supplied. Cornwall is well known for its mild climate, but at Rosecraddoc Manor, even if it is cold outside, your accommodation will be warm and welcoming. There are several pubs locally. An ideal venue for all the family. Pub 1½ miles.
All properties (except B6859) fuel and power charged by meter reading read on arrival and on departure, it is charged per unit used.

I rented a cottage for a holiday but ended up leaving before even completing half of my stay due to the extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour of both the staff and the owner.The property description was misleading - there was no hot tub as advertised, and the sauna was out of order. When we raised these issues, the response we received was very unprofessional and disrespectful.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this site to anyone.

Great accommodation- horrendous management. Location and accommodation 10/10. While the accommodation and grounds were excellent, providing a 10/10 experience, unfortunately, the service from the staff left much to be desired. We had booked a dog-friendly lodge and brought our dogs, although I wasn't aware we needed to contact them after booking to confirm. As a result, we were initially placed in a non-pet-friendly lodge, but we were unaware of this mix-up. On day two, we overheard staff discusing our dogs outside the window. When I opened the window to check on the situation, I was met with a barrage of negative comments about having our dogs with us. I calmly explained that we had booked a dog-friendly stay and showed the booking confirmation, only to be told, "You couldn't have." At this point, I asked, "Are you calling me a liar?" Then proceeded to show my booking for lake view "3" (allocated lake view 2) While the location itself was lovely, the manner in which the situation was handled significantly impacted our experience. It's important for staff to approach such situations with profesionalism and a calm demeanor to resolve isues without escalation.

Lovely apartment, great grounds/views and location.Not very attentive care takers:1. On arrival tried to open door to our balcony and handle came off in my hands, sent a message to notify caretaker of the issue. Got a reply that it will be looked at in next couple of days, this did not happen and we had no use of the balcony throughout our stay!2. Sent a message two days later as two heaters in two rooms had stopped working and the sauna could not be switched on and was not working. Received no responses to these two messages. The next morning there was a knock on the door and when we opened we saw someone walking away and she had left ONE heating by the front door without saying a word. As for the sauna, we received no response, therefore we could not use the sauna throughout our stay.3. High level dust and cobwebs all around, low level cleaning was good but when you look up not so great. We had a fly/insect catcher in the master bedroom which was a sort off long sticky strip hanging from the ceiling with lots of dead wasp, flies and other insects stuck to it.My wife and daughter spoke with the caretaker about the balcony door handle and the response was "this does not really impact your stay does it?" My daughter said she would have loved to be on the balcony at night to star gaze and the response was "I normally go down to the lake to do that".It is worth nothing that the grounds could do with some sort of street lights, it is pitch black when you come outside your apartment at night.This could have been such a great review!
