Location is amazing, the local town Liskeard is beautiful and has all needed amenities. The cottage itself is well sized for a family of four. Advertised as having a washer/dryer however is in fact just a washer. Both double beds could use updating. The downstairs bed was very uncomfortable and noisy, and the upstairs double has broken slats that have been temporarily fixed however has not fixed the issue and the slats keep popping out.The grounds of the manor are beautiful and peaceful.

Beautiful setting and lovely views from our cottageMattresses a little uncomfortable and the water in the shower downstairs overflows which might be a drainage problem.A very roomy cottage !

First, the positives:- The location and setting is fantastic. Picturesque and tranquil, it makes for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The property itself is well appointed (if a little tired) and comfortable. The downstairs bedroom and wet room are a bonus (we have a disabled son, and this was an absolute necessity when booking). However, the whole experience is spoilt by what seems to be 'penny pinching'.Electricity - extra!Wi-fi - extra!Towels - extra!Toiletries - non existent (not even hand soap)Welcome pack/hamper - no, not even salt and pepper! The kitchen has a dishwasher, but only 1 wash tablet was provided! There was no second black bin liner available (we just about managed 4 nights with the one bag - just as well!)The downstairs wet room didn't appear to have been aired sufficiently between lets and caused a musty smell to permeate the premises. Although numerous pillows were provided, they were all very basic and thin, giving very little neck support. All in all, for the (not inconsiderable) price, we expected more. It turned what should have been a luxurious, upmarket experience into a very basic one.A real shame, as the premises and location offer so much!
