Overlooking the river towards West Looe and just a short walk from the beach, this pet-friendly holiday home is well suited to families and groups of friends seeking a traditional Cornish coastal break. After arriving in Looe, leave the car in one of the nearby public car parks and make your way through the bustling streets to the apartment. Guests arriving by train can also enjoy a short stroll from Looe station, taking in glimpses of the waterfront before reaching the property. Climb the stairs to the apartment and step inside, where the river views immediately draw your attention.

The sitting and dining area is the heart of the home, offering a lovely place to settle down with a morning coffee while watching boats drift along the water or gather together in the evening to discuss the day's adventures. When hunger calls, head into the kitchen to prepare everything from leisurely breakfasts to hearty suppers, before returning to the dining area to enjoy meals overlooking the ever-changing river scene. After a day spent exploring Cornwall, sink into the seating with a favourite film on the TV, catch up online using the WiFi, or simply relax while watching life unfold along the quayside.

From your doorstep, you'll find shops, pubs, restaurants, the riverside, and the beach all within an easy walk, meaning you can leave the car behind and enjoy much of Looe on foot. Beyond the town, Polperro makes a wonderful day out, where you can wander winding cottage-lined lanes, admire the historic fishing harbour, and browse independent galleries showcasing local artists. Fowey also lies within easy reach and offers attractive waterfront walks, boat trips along the estuary, and a selection of cafés and independent shops overlooking the water. Bodmin provides a different perspective on Cornwall, where you can explore Bodmin Jail, discover the fascinating heritage of the town, and venture onto nearby Bodmin Moor to take in dramatic tors and sweeping countryside views.

For memorable days out, visit the Eden Project, where vast rainforest and Mediterranean biomes, striking sculptures, and seasonal events create an inspiring experience. At Looe Island Nature Reserve, boat trips reveal coastal wildlife, fascinating local history, and superb views back towards the mainland. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
