If you don’t fancy venturing out, you’ll find everything you need for a cosy night in, including the all-important inbuilt wine cooler, a saviour at the end of a long day at the beach.
Conveniently located between Padstow and Newquay, Watergate Bay has everything that you could need for an amazing beach experience. With a variety of extreme sports, including surfing, mountain boarding, kitesurfing, traction kiting and wave skiing are just some of the adrenaline fuelled activities available from The Extreme Sports Academy, located right on the beach.
Within minutes of leaving 9 The Whitehouse you can be in one of the best surfing spots in Cornwall, offering the most beautiful of North Cornwall’s seascapes. Some nearby sights include, The Eden Project near St Austell, and for natural wonders there are the Bedruthan Steps, Gurnards Head and Kynance Cove.

This flat is a gem. Our first weekend fell on a local festival which we didn’t participate but great to see. It didn’t affect our stay. The nearest shop was Tescos express in Newquay which was convenient. We also ordered in twice for a takeaway but that was a bit painful as there is no phone signal around the bay. The local restaurant The Beach Hut provided great food and only a short walk away. The only grumble I did have was that it was hot in the flat, so I bought a fan. A few fans provided would have been perfect. We did enjoy our stay and would recommend it to anyone, we have even booked for next year! It was a great location to go out and visit Cornwall and Watergate Bay is just beautiful.
