Newquay, a mecca for all things water sport related, is a thriving coastal town, with a plethora of attractions, including a zoo and all-weather aquarium, along with no less than twelve beaches. Within easy reach of your holiday haven, you will find huge expanses of golden sand, coves and countless walks and an abundance of surf shops, boutique shops, bars and restaurants. A short distance North, and find Padstow, a buzzing town with lovely narrow streets playing host to celebrity chef inspired restaurants, galleries and boutique shops. Here too you can hire a bicycle and take the famous, scenic Camel Trail up to eighteen miles to the town of Bodmin, crossing through valleys, woodland, past rivers and coastline. The town of Bodmin has a unique Jail Experience and heritage steam railway, along with the mysterious moor with breath-taking vistas, Tors and ancient standing stones. Beach ½ mile.

The house was clean and tidy but, there was 8 adults and 2 children, there was a back door step with a piece of wood on the step which was loose, we thought dangerous for the children, we were told it was dog friendly, but he was not allowed upstairs, the stair carpet was new but there was a big stain at the top of the first landing. There wasn’t enough storage in the bedrooms, my wife and myself were on the top floor, very little storage, we had to leave a lot of our clothes in the suitcase, there wasn’t any mirror over the sink, just a long mirror leaning against one of the walls. The electrical socket near the bed was loose. The kitchen had 1 wine glass between 8 of us, there wasn’t a spatula at all, there wasn’t any cheese grater and the table was very uncomfortable to sit at with it having very uncomfortable benches, there also wasn’t enough room for all of us to sit around, my daughter and her boyfriend had to sit at the breakfast bar for all the meals. The fridge freezer just wasn’t big enough for 10 of us, we eat a lot of fresh food, this house could benefit for an American style fridge freezer. The shower kept going cold when you use it.The house has a lot of potential, but for the price at the moment it isn’t worth it.The scones that were left for us were out of date the day after we arrived, so we could not eat them.We have stayed in better supplied houses for less money.The owners need to make sure the house is up to the quality and have everything the holiday makers need for the stay, at the moment it misses the mark by a mile.The lounge was really nice with a nice reading corner which our older daughter enjoyed, and the house is well positioned, it just needs the finishing touches, that a house rented for the price should have.

Excellent host, came over and fixed the isue when we had a cooker fuse go, Dom recommended activities and was responsive and helpful. The accommodation was clean and was as described in the listing. Great location for beach and newquay town/nightlife, all easily walkable.
