A narrow wooden footbridge leads across to Porth Island (0.5 miles), where a dramatic blowhole shoots rainbow sprays of water at mid-tide – bring a camera to capture the spectacle. The coast path connects Porth to Lusty Glaze Beach (0.5 miles) in one direction, and Watergate Bay and the rolling cliffs of Mawgan Porth (both within 4 miles) in the other. Newquay is just over a mile away and is famous for its golden beaches, world-class surfing, and traditional seaside shops, eateries and attractions.
