About this property

Sea Blue is a stylish pet-friendly bungalow nestled in Holywell Bay, Cornwall. Perfect for families, friends or three couples exploring the Coast in Cornwall, this abode boasts beach proximity, a toasty woodburning stove and a garden. Pull onto the paved driveway with a neat lawned area to one side, take in the coastal breeze before stepping inside your Cornish retreat, set within the sought-after village of Holywell Bay. With the famous sandy beach and one of the finest stretches of the South West Coast Path just a short stroll away, the setting makes it easy to slip into the slower rhythm of Cornish coastal life.

Enter through the hallway, where carpeted flooring and artwork lining the walls create a welcoming first impression as you settle in and leave coats and shoes behind. Continue through to the open-plan living space, where wooden flooring flows throughout and coastal artwork frames the walls, reflecting the home’s seaside setting. Settle onto one of the plush sofas in the sitting area and switch on the TV after a day spent exploring the coastline, while the double-sided woodburning stove casts warmth through both the sitting area and dining space, creating an inviting atmosphere as evenings draw in. Continue through to the sleek and contemporary kitchen, where integrated fixtures keep the space neat and stylish.

Store fresh local produce in the fridge/freezer before firing up the double oven and hob to prepare a relaxed evening meal, with the open-plan layout allowing conversation to continue as dinner comes together. Once ready, gather around the circular dining table and enjoy long, easy meals together, with patio doors allowing light to pour in and offering easy access out to the garden. Whether it is breakfast before a coastal walk or fueling dinner after a day on the sand, this is a lovely place to slow the pace and reconnect. When the evening draws to a close, retire to one of three bright and carpeted bedrooms, a double, a king-size and a king-size/zip'link twin with TV, each offering a calm place to recharge.

One bedroom benefits from a mounted TV and doors leading directly out to the garden, allowing you to wake up and step straight into the fresh air. The bathroom and shower room are both bright and contemporary, offering the choice between a refreshing walk-in shower or a long soak in the bath after a day outdoors. Step outside and discover a manicured garden designed for making the most of warmer days. Stretch out on the sun loungers beside potted plants on the patio, gather on the rattan sofa with a drink in hand, or rinse sandy feet beneath the outdoor shower after returning from the beach.

Stairs lead up to a lawned area with a table and chairs, while a summer house with a bean bag offers an additional place to unwind during sunny afternoons and warm evenings Steps lead up to a lawned area with outdoor furniture, while a summer house filled with bean bags creates an extra spot to relax during warm afternoons and balmy evenings where sunsets and sea views are the order of the day over a glass of wine! With a welcoming pub nearby, the beach within walking distance, and a shop close at hand for essentials, everything needed for a relaxed Cornish getaway is within easy reach.

Spend time at Holywell Bay, where a wide sandy beach, rolling dunes, and coastal paths offer far-reaching sea views, along with relaxed walks, ice creams by the shore, and plenty of space for dogs to run. Families can enjoy a day out at Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay, coming face-to-face with exotic sea species, colourful coral reef displays, turtles gliding through the tanks, and lively feeding sessions throughout the day. Step back in time at Trerice, a striking 16th-century Elizabethan manor house where period furnishings, peaceful gardens, and a traditional tea room create a slower pace for an afternoon in the Cornish countryside.

After exploring the beauty of Cornwall, return to your stylish base at Sea Blue.

The market town of Holywell in North Wales takes its name from the town’s most famous attraction, the 7th century St Winefride’s Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Holywell boasts over 60 listed buildings, with a variety of late Georgian and Victorian buildings on offer, along with a pedestrianised shopping centre, pubs, restaurants and an open-air market every Thursday. Just one mile away are the 12th century ruins of Basingwerk Abbey within the grounds of the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, with its museum. There are many lovely walking routes in the area, including the open common area at Halkyn Mountain, Pennant Way, Offa’s Dyke and The Welsh Coastal Path. Within driving distance is the pretty Market town of Mold, which holds an outdoor market on a Wednesday and Saturday. The historic city of Chester, with its famous Rows, Roman Walls, racecourse, zoo, shops and restaurants is just over the border in England. The beautiful Welsh Coast is easily reached with the little seaside village and beach of Talacre only a short drive away. Prestatyn, Rhyl, and of course Llandudno are also easily accessible, together with the majestic mountains of Snowdonia. There are also some beautiful gardens to visit, Ness on the Wirral, and Bodnant Gardens in Snowdonia to name just two.
